The State government will launch the free distribution of milch cows and goats/sheep to beneficiaries on September 15, the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai.

Initially, 1,600 families each will be covered under the schemes of distribution of milch cows and goats/sheep. Totally, 60,000 cows [cross-bred Jersey] will be given.
