The 91-year-old Mahant Yugal Saranji Maharaj of Mount Abu in Rajasthan who underwent a 45-day ayurvedic treatment known as the 'Kudipravesha Kayakalpa Chikitsa' (an age reversal treatment) will come out of the three chambered 'kudi' building set up at the Padinjarekara Ayurveda Hospital in Ottapalam on Friday.
Dr Sethumadhavan, head of the hospital, said that it was on April 4 that Mahant Yugal Saranji Maharaj had entered the 'kudi'. The treatment was completed on May 18. In the three chambered 'kudi', the Mahant was only given 'rasayanam' (ayurvedic medication) and pure cow milk. Except for two doctors who were treating him and some attenders who were cleaning the place, no one else was allowed into the 'kudi'.
