The task of disposing of tonnes of trash is one among the many challenges that the torrential rains have brought in their wake. With the objective of sending only an irreducible minimum to the landfills, Earth Recyclers, a waste management enterprise, has come up with an up-cycling campaign which aims to find creative reuse for discarded items.

According to Dawood S. Mohammed, founder of Earth Recyclers, “People must make a sincere attempt to salvage damaged items and continue to use them. In this campaign, we intend to up-cycle things like wooden furniture, upholstery, electronic gadgets and home appliances so that they can be used again.”  

Around 20 IT professionals have volunteered for the campaign. Their job will be to identify people intending to throw away damaged belongings and those willing to buy up-cycled products.............Read more
