Goa could become the first state to have a State Urban Climate Resilience Policy. The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) that has been working with the Corporation of the City of Panaji for the past two years under the USAID-sponsored Climate Resilient Infrastructure Services has partnered with the Goa State Urban Development Agency to prepare a road map for the policy.
TERI has already prepared a first draft of the policy and submitted it to the GSUDA and the town and country planning department on Wednesday morning for consideration, also discussing it with departments of water resources, PWD, forest, GSPCB and GCZMA among others.
