Himachal nod for 12-cr. health care scheme


Around 1.5 lakh people, including single women, senior citizens among others are expected to benefit from the ‘Mukhya Mantri State Health Care Scheme’ (MMSHCS) announced by the Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said the scheme worth Rs 12 crore would be implemented from the current financial year.

Single women, senior citizens above 80 years of age, anganwadi workers, mid-day meal workers, daily wage earners and part time workers of the State, autonomous bodies, societies and other associations not covered under Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna or any other medical reimbursement scheme, are entitled to draw benefits from the scheme, he said while presiding over a meeting here........Read more
