Well, if you think it’s too far-fetched, think again — courtesy innovative start-ups like Bibox. Also known as Brain in a Box, Bibox is a programmable electronic platform that helps students from Classes V to X to build smart machines, robots and other real-world gadgets. It was during an interaction with a batch of students that founder Sandeep C Senan, began to think about how to get a 10-year-old kid to convert an idea into a working model without waiting to become a scientist or an engineer.
“Building a machine involves not just assembling hardware, but also software — usually computer coding or a syntax. This is where the Bibox kit, which comes pre-loaded with android software, is helpful. All you require is a smart phone. The kit comes with a hardware board along with basic components like motors, sensors and LEDS, among other things.
