Kerala's ancient mural art now embellishes unconventional spaces, from airport walls to saris.
It actually took a devastating fire to revive Kerala's ancient temple mural art. And so successful was its resurrection that it has almost evolved into a contemporary genre. In fact, a 4,000-sq-ft Kerala mural by artist Suresh Muthukulam decorates the T2 terminal at the Mumbai international airport.
